I approached Crohaun from the obvious path to the north -- there's plenty of space for parking at the foot of the track that leads up to the radio mast. This mast and the effects of what appears to be rampant motorbike scrambling somewhat dent the appeal of Crohaun, but don't let that take away from the views. Dungarvan on the coast, the eastern Knockmealdowns, and of course the Comeraghs are all visible from the top. Unless you're trying to work in a circuit involving Farbreaga/Coumaraglin, there doesn't seem to be much alternative to the quick dash up from the road.
