Teevenacroaghy is the name of a townland on the S side of the ridge which extends eastwards from the summit of Croagh Patrick. As the name is derived from the mountain landscape, it is also suitable as a name for this peak. The ‘stack’ referred to in the name is Croagh Patrick itself. Teevenacroaghy is the 607th highest place in Ireland.

Common Heath

Bagged this top on a gloriously sunny day in May. Noticed some day flying moths on the slopes below the summit and managed to catch a snap. Turns out to be the Common Heath moth which is pretty much found all over Ireland on heaths and moorland. See http://moths.ie/index.php?menu=1952.php&a=1 for further details.
