Teevenacroaghy is the name of a townland on the S side of the ridge which extends eastwards from the summit of Croagh Patrick. As the name is derived from the mountain landscape, it is also suitable as a name for this peak. The ‘stack’ referred to in the name is Croagh Patrick itself.   Teevenacroaghy is the 611th highest place in Ireland.

A heathery ridge bump with good views.
Short Summary created by simon3  17 May 2024
Teevenacroaghy will always be in the shadow of its famous western companion, Croagh Patrick.
It is a heathery whale back around 200m long with the westmost end being marginally higher than to the east. It has great views and is an intermediate point if you are walking the ridge east of the Reek.
Unlike the much visited track up Croagh Patrick, it has very few visitors.
The quickest route up is from L91838 78134 starA or it can be reached from Murrisk at L91990 82162 starB Linkback: https://mountainviews.ie/summit/492/comment/5251/

Picture: Day flying moth
Common Heath
by paddyhillsbagger  15 May 2016
Bagged this top on a gloriously sunny day in May. Noticed some day flying moths on the slopes below the summit and managed to catch a snap. Turns out to be the Common Heath moth which is pretty much found all over Ireland on heaths and moorland. See http://moths.ie/index.php?menu=1952.php&a=1 for further details. A clear day on the Hill
by three5four0  17 May 2024
Climbed Croagh Patrick East Top, Croagh Patrick Far East Top and Croagh Patrick on our way home from Dingle at Easter. It certainly was the best weather I have had for an ascent.

Stopped for a couple of Guinness in the recently renovated pub at the bottom, which was packed with sweaty walkers, much to the distress of a few tourists noses! Linkback: https://mountainviews.ie/summit/492/comment/6505/

Misty Achill.

One May day this watery view opened towards Achill over Clew Bay.

To the left the twin humps of the two tops on Achillbeg Island. To the rear, Slievemore in the mist. Linkback: https://mountainviews.ie/summit/492/comment/24207/
