Picture: Heathery top
There is room for one car to park at A (V036 698), at the entrance to a short track up to a farmhouse. Almost directly across the road another track leads to the NE, although you will need to cross several gates as you go. After about 500m at point B (V038 702) this forks. Take the track to the left which soon becomes a meandering forest trail. Continue up this gently rising track for 1km until the forest ends and the open hillside appears at C (V050 707). Now turn directly north up the hillside for 600m to attain the summit. The going is reasonably gentle, the terrain boggy in places, a mixture of short heather and grass. The summit itself is unremarkable, distinguished only by a small heathery bump. The views are fine if unspectacular. Time to summit 1 hour.
