Nothing much to say about Corrigasleggaun, except it makes a useful waypoint on a Aughavanna - Slievemaan - Lugnaquilla - Aughavanna horseshoe. Small cairn at the summit with nice views of Lug's South Prison. Don't forget to turn right on the way down from Lugnaquilla or you'll end up on Cloghernagh - easy to miss in the fog. Linkback:

A Good Vantage Point In Better Weather
by Aidy  7 Sep 2015
I had planned to visit this summit on the way back from Lugnaquilla, retracing my route over Cloghernagh, but on the way up, the beautiful dawn weather disappeared, replaced by a thick mist that completely ruined any visibility beyond 20 or 30 metres, and I thought I wouldn't bother. Just as I passed the cairn where I would need to divert to the south however, on impulse, I thought it was such a short walk, I would do it anyway, It really was no effort at all to reach it and return to my main route. As I reached the summit cairn, the mist did clear to give me some views, and although it was overcast with flat light, terrible for photography, I was glad to have something to see. I could also see that on a good day this would be a great viewing point. Linkback:

Taken on Saturday last from the eastern end of Corrigasleggaun, the photo looks to the head of the valley, beyond Kelly's Lough, to the hidden Lugnaquillia, betrayed nonetheless by a plume of billowing cloud as hot air, laden with moisture, was being pushed up over the South Prison - a real cauldron of activity on an otherwise clear and almost windstill day. Corrigasleggaun can be included in a nice horse show of Glenmalur Valley as follows: Fraughan Glen-Lugnaguillia-Corrigaslegguan-Kellys Lough-Zig zags...see comment on Lugnaquillia Summit for more details. Photo shows view from the summit overlooking Kellys Lough with Carrawaystick Brook in the background. Linkback:
