Picture: Nareera Sugarloaf Circuit

What a circuit!!
by muddyboots  2 Jan 2017
The addition of Arderin Begs makes this circuit of the six mountains of Nareera and Sugarloaf a classic. Park at V84938 51177 starB (room max for 2 cars) and follow the track up onto the mountain. Work your way on Nareera's SW Top then Nareera itself (the Beara way passes between the two) and, yes it is worth it go the extra 1/2 hour to climb Nareera's North Top, a small crest above a beautiful mountain lake. There is a small gap between Nareera and an unnamed peak. Then walk back the same route - i dont think its worth trying to drop down and work around the Sugarloaf Far West. Regain the Beara way and walk around fabulous lake and on to the Sugarloafs. Total for all six summits is 10.3 km taking 3.45-4 hrs. Linkback: https://mountainviews.ie/summit/394/comment/18771/
