Climbed Mweelrea this Summer - same climb as prev photo, but rather misty at the top (see pic 2 & comment 3 for well.. the rather murky wet top!)
Note: We did find the sheep near the summit to be a bit annoying, as things were getting rather steep, yet these animals just run by you like nothing's the matter?!?!?! Gas really!

Good place to test yourself out, a great climbing effort is needed from the Ramp side of the climb, a huge effort is needed to get over this ramp, the rest of it to the summit is easy compared to what came before. Trackback: https://mountainviews.ie/summit/34/comment/970/

Picture: the ramp from doo lough

went up and down via doo lough, the ramp and ben bury on the 3rd of june, a very hot day and despite plenty of suncream got well sunburnt, views were incredible, met a number of climbers / walkers from kerry at the top, wondering whether it really was the top of brandon that they could see in the distance ?, just about 5 hours up and down, a nice leisurely accent, just the way it should be Trackback: https://mountainviews.ie/summit/34/comment/2404/

Fantastic Views on a clear day.
by Moneenman  19 Nov 2013
Climbed many items form all sides as I holiday in Louisburgh. Can be very dangerous in bad weather, The easiest way is from the Silver Stand side, as others have outlned. Takes about 90min up. cars are safer here than in the Delphi Valley. Some were vandalised last summer. A nice alternative route is to go up from the Delphi side and down to Silver Starnd but you need two cars. Trackback: https://mountainviews.ie/summit/34/comment/15259/
