Me and my boyfrend did The Glencorbet Horseshoe in 6 hours under the clear sky and on sunny day, as we saw the accurate navigation in magazine. This walk took up four summits including the tallest of all the Bens : Benbrack (Binn Bhreac) - Muckanaght (Meacanach) - Benfree (Binn Fhraoigh) - Ben Baun (Binn Bhán), We parked our car on L 799 574 A. The walk was great pleasure for us and very good challenge. Especially ascent of Muckanaght was hard. The navigation of these horseshoe is below from Gerrym. Parking prohibited
by Jamessheerin  8 Nov 2016
Please be advised that parking at Kylemore Abbey is now off limits. I was there last Sunday (Nov 6, 2016) with my club and we were informed that we "could not leave the grounds", we "couldn't park there and climb the nearby hills" and "we should park in Leenaun", 10 miles away! I believe the Abbey grounds are under new management and this is their way of a friendly reception. We, the club, have been parking there for over twenty years (taking up a very small part of a very large carpark)... and spending a sizable amount of money in the cafe afterwards. We have never abused the free parking there in any way. After we left last Sunday there were only three cars left in the carpark. And thirty less people to spend money in the coffee shop! To the north of Benbrack is Kylemore Abbey with a convenient car-park. Going south from there via a path that leaves the road at around L 752582 B it is straightforward, if hard work, to reach Benbaun, 477m. The picture shows the approach to Benbrack from Benbaun, via a broad ridge. Benbrack is to the right of the picture. Highest on the skyline is another Benbaun or Binn Bhan. 729m. To its right is Benfree, (Binn Fraoigh) 638m Trackback: https://mountainviews.ie/summit/308/comment/697/

Climbed to Benbrack -18.05.2008 on another fine clear day. Start point was at L75722 58267 C, place to park a vehicle without obstruction. You have to walk on the road a short distance before entering a pass which leads to a lime kiln. Headed up to L76588 56749 D at Maolan, this is a steep enough haul, the views back towards Kylemore Abbey are something else!!!. On to Benbrack and enjoyed a snack beside a small, crystal clear lough. The surrounding scenery is very well described in gerrym's comment of 25/10/06 - awe inspiring.
