A short, sharp cold snap

Following Colin Murphy's clearly described route, I parked just off the road adjacent to open hillside. The going across from Tievebaun to Truskmore can be boggy in parts but today was frozen, due to the sub-gale force winds and sub-zero wind chill (estimated to be -10C to -12C). I had planned to return to the car via the road from Truskmore station but as I was so cold when I reached the mast, I decided to make a beeline down to the road. This is a fairly dry descent, not too boggy and I can recommend it - however, I'm not too sure about the access/permission aspect. There were no signs at the road to suggest trespassers would be prosecuted, so I took a chance on that! Linkback: https://mountainviews.ie/summit/253/comment/19868/
