A handy walk from Glenmacnass
by paulocon  1 Oct 2013
Scarr is a straightforward walk when tackled from Glenmacnass side. I've also tackled it from the other side as part of an IMRA race and this is definitely a more interesting route along a well-defined track. One benefit of tackling it from Glenmacnass is to see it's western slopes lit up by the sun setting over mighty Tonelagee. As with so many mountains in the area, there are expansive views from the top taking in the surrounding landscape pouring out to the Irish sea.
