Heading west from Glenbeigh turn off the N70 A (V630 890) (Point A) and follow the narrow road for about 1km to point B (V622 888) (Point B), where there is room to park a couple of cars on the roadside.
Walk west for 100 meters and follow the waymarked way sign up a track left at V61p 887.
Continue through several gates until you reach C (V607 887) (Point C). Cross the fence and head straight up Drung Hill, which has steep slopes, but the terrain is naturally 'stepped', which helps the ascent. When you reach the summit of Drung Hill, head directly SW for 1km over solid, grassy terrain, and you will reach Beenmore in about 20 minutes, the summit being marked by a cairn. Turn south for 700m until point D (V597 861) where you will enjoy splendid views over Coomnacronia Lough. Turn SW and continue up a gently rising grassy, slope for about 600m to reach the highest point of Been Hill, which is marked by a small pile of rocks. The top is a broad grassy mound, but the views back towards V=Beenmore and the sea beyond are excellent.

This is a great vantage point for summer sunsets, but as always we are at the mercy of opportunity.
The view West includes the black convex silhouette of Kells Mtn East Top, illustrating why its lower northern slopes are difficult to descend. Beyond Dingle Bay and right of the picture is Slea Head, the end of the Dingle mainland. Stretching left in the haze are the Great Blasket Island, Tearaght and Inishnabro. A veil of cloud hides the mysteries of Inishvickillane, so much easier to reach if you own a helicopter company.
Tearaght on the other hand has the distinction of being the most westerly point of Ireland. Linkback: mountainviews.ie/summit/191/comment/1908/

[Duplicate comment from Beenmore - part of a 3 summit loop walk] Completed the three summits of Been Hill, Beenmore and Drung Hill in an enjoyable loop walk incorporating the Kerry Way. Parked just off the main road and started along the Kerry way heading south west. The way follows the western edge of Drung Hill and Beenmore before swinging behind Beenmore and dropping down through a small forested area and rising again to pass a small ridge beyond Been Hill. We left the path just past the forested area and climbed the rock-strewn slopes of Been Hill until we reached the summit ridge. After a brief rest and soaking up of the views we headed northwards along the ridge and then dropped and climbed to the summit of Beenmore, a shorter descent and rise to the final summit of Drung Hill. The sloping ridge of Drung Hill lead downwards and we eventually veered left down the slightly steeper and somewhat mucky/slippy slop to rejoin the Kerry Way a few hundred metres from the start point on the main road. Overall it was a relatively good stretch of the legs (about 4 - 5 hours walking) with great views across Dingle Bay to to Dingle and beyond and across the Iveragh Peninsula. Westernmost of the big lakes of the Glenbeigh horseshoe, Coomnacronia Lake can be seen some 750 m NE of Been Hill. Steep cliffs lead 270m down to the water. Future ice ages will cut right across the ridge from Been Hill to Beenmore, but for humanity's era there is a glorious though short 250m cliff edge walk en-route between the two. A Blasket Case

The Blasket Islands can be seen clearly from Been Hill on a good day. We spied them on the horizon as the shadows lengthened and the sun slid low in the sky. The island on the left is Inishnabro, with the jagged Cathedral Rocks visible on its right side, and the island rising like a spear tip in the centre is An Tearaght.
