Starting at Bloody Bridge car park, the stroll up the track alongside Bloody Bridge River is very pleasant on a summer's day. Cross the river where the large pipeline becomes visible and head SW over the mountain's shoulder which is marked by a cairn. A further 30 minutes took me to the large summit cairn on Chimney Rock, one hour and forty minutes after I'd left the car. The picture shows a class of kids leaping into an inviting, deep pool in Bloody Bridge River just up from the car park. Trackback: https://mountainviews.ie/summit/178/comment/3863/
