Up here recently as part of the WGL assessment. Park at the water commissioners gate, then to Round Seefin, Long Seefin, Spences mtn, Blaeberry mtn and then Chimney Rock. Easy walk, impressive boulders on the top of Chimney Rock, and an impressive but worrying thunder storm on the other site of the Annolong valley. It didn't take long to get off the tops once we saw the lightning close by! Trackback: https://mountainviews.ie/summit/178/comment/1008/

More great views

Started off from Bloody Bridge and cut off the track before I reached Carr's face. A heavy frost meant that the going was somewhat easier - ground looked like it could be very boggy otherwise. Also aided by the fact that the heather on the lower slopes is still recovering after a fire on the slopes of Chimney Rock back in September/October. Great views along the coast are opened up as elevation is gained. The summit of CR also provides a great place to view the Higher Mournes from Donard around to Binnian. In wetter weather, a better approach would probably to go up closer to the wall at the bog of Donard as there is a trail from there. From Chimney Rock, I headed for Cove Mountain via the Brandy Pad.
