This hike starts from sea level so all 671 meters are felt on the steep ascent from Duggort. Follow the road past the Slievemore Hotel for a few hundred meters before heading out onto the mountain at F66874 09094 starB. It's a steep climb West for two kilometers to the summit. At the summit it's a pleasant descent to the deserted village on the South side of the mountain where you will join the deserted village trail at F63257 07270 starC. The last leg of the hike is West, then South West along the trail finishing at the strand in Dooagh, a mysterious beach that vanished years ago and has now reappeared!
