As on neighbouring Slieve Daeane, there is a cairn at the summit of Slieve Dargan, the remains of a passage tomb aligned with the rising sun as viewed from the Carrowmore Megalithic Cemetery at two points during the winter. Another is situated on a knoll to the SE at G704 296 and named Cailleach Bhearra's House, just like the passage tomb on Slieve Gullion, Co. Armagh.
