As with Derryreel from the coastal side the ridge this hill is located on is impressive but not so on the Muckish side , access is via the double gates located at C0103433730 starA . Passing thru old stone workings you reach open hillside after a farm gate now follow the some what muddy trail right up to within meters of the summit. It is only a short walk but take some time in the old quarry and you will notice the rock with plenty of gold running thru it either the sign of pyrite in the rock or maybe it is the real thing and Mountain Views are ahead in classifying this hill as of historical importance . Well worth a visit for the views but if you decide on a ridge walk be aware you will have a lot of fences to contend with as well as finding yourself close to some private dwellings.
