On approach from the coastal side this hill and ridge looks impressive but from the road on the Muckish side it looks a non entity. Access is via the track leading up to the old TV masts the ruins of which dot the summit area located at Dr'Reel (B99392 32022) or you can ascend via a farm gate where there is parking for one vehicle at A (B99267 31824) which is the quick route. Because of the ruins located at the summit area the 360 degree view is compromised but what a view across to Muckish . Linkback: mountainviews.ie/summit/1505/comment/19677/
