A stunning viewpoint !!

Canshanavoe can be climbed from Glenkeel Lough (E). The ascent is quite steep from that side and it is worth having a short break before reaching the top to enjoy the amazing views over Bantry Bay and Hungry Hill to the S/SW and also over the steep cliffs W of Nareera to the E. There is a rather flattish area to the SSE of the summit, between contours 450 and 500m, strewn with endless bands of bare, flat rock, which is a fantastic promontory over Bantry and Adrigole bays (see pic).
