Gowlane School Ruin (V917 752) A. Proceed north along Kerry Way for about 1km, then turn directly west for another 800m up the steep, but quite doable eastern slope of Peakeen. Mostly rocks, grass and short heather underfoot. Proceed directly west from here across grassy/heathery col area for about 1.3km, up the West Top, about 80 metres ascent. From there this summit is simplicity itself. It's about 150m north and you'll barely notice the ascent. Summit area is an undefined grassy mound. Car to summit, just over 2 hours. Amazing panoramas.
