Lots of high points
by Colin Murphy  5 Sep 2022
While the views here are incomparable on a good day, I found that the 100m-long, grassy summit area has one of those annoying traits whereby if you go to one end, the other end looks higher, and then when you go to the other end, where you were in the first place looks higher. I wandered up and down with GPS in hand and eventually spotted a solitary rock in the grass at the eastern end, and my GPS informed me that it was 1m higher than the other end. Anyway, it was worth all the wandering about, as the views from all sides are worth taking in. This is looking west over Lough Dhoire Lanna, but turn in any direction and you won't be disappointed. This is one to save for a clear day. Linkback: https://mountainviews.ie/summit/1440/comment/23646/
