Walking from Meelmore Lodge, rather than continuing to the Hare's Gap, I left the Trassey Track at around A (J31476 29612) and followed a pleasant and little used track to the stile over the Mourne Wall at B (J3245 2900).
The summit of Slievenaglogh East Top, a rock just to the east of the wall, was at C (J33060 29083) according to my basic though reasonably priced GPS. Linkback: mountainviews.ie/summit/1417/comment/19544/

Following the Wall on my way from Slieve Corragh to Hare’s Gap you pass right over Slievenaglogh East Top. To my eye the Wall either passes right over the highest point or you could argue for the rocky outcrop on either side. I’d already scrambled over once and didn’t fancy it again and figured I was as close as I needed to be. Onwards to the main event and leaving this mostly overlooked summit in peace once again.
