Worth the visit.
by David-Guenot 11 Jun 2016
This summit is really worth a visit and can be easily bagged on the way between Bucan and Leenaun Hill. It has fine views, mainly over the main Maumturks ridge to the S. The cairn-topped summit is rather featureless, but the mountain looks quite impressive as seen from down in the Bunowen valley to the SW (see pic). Small is beautiful
by Colin Murphy 10 Aug 2020
This is officially an Arderin Beg, but to be honest it is barely visible as a separate entity and the 'summit' consists of a small cairn of sorts perched precariously on the edge of a low peat hag. Having said that the surrounding panoramas are magnificent. Linkback: mountainviews.ie/summit/1412/comment/20849/

Maumturks Challenge part 4
by TommyV 2 Nov 2018
On paper this section looks like it is the easiest part of the challenge as most of the hard climbing is done. But for tired legs, the mental challenge of the route really kicks in. A series of drops and climbs from Maumturkmore over to Maell Cheo makes every single metre look like 10 and feel like 100. The steep descend to Leenaun can really be felt in the legs. A beast of a challenge but one for any bucket list. Linkback: mountainviews.ie/summit/1412/comment/20169/
