I had a really enjoyable walk up to this summit, starting from LeathCrua (G93724 93575), going up over the eastern shoulder of Lavagh More, and then via the summit of Croaghgorm. Croaghgorm always rewards another visit, and the route from there to the East Top had the added benefit of taking me past the plane wreckage which I've long wanted to visit. The summit of the East Top itself was the icing on the cake, providing great views over Lough Belshade and Lough Eske as well as along the central spine of the Bluestacks.
