Small but most definitely worth it!

This is less grassy than its northern neighbour but it's still a beauty. The terrain on the north approach is quite steep but this can easily be avoided if your approach is from the beach on the east side. I approached from the storm beach at the west side and had a fun scramble. Incredible views west to Croaghan and south to Clare Island. I also wandered down to the coast to visit the lighthouse and helipad. well worth the diversion.
ps East West maps refer to the summit as Cnoc Oileán a' Sciorta. Linkback: https://mountainviews.ie/summit/1376/comment/23051/

Lots of sheep and lambs on the island too. I met a chough and plenty of small birds too. Linkback: https://mountainviews.ie/summit/1376/comment/23052/
