Find somewhere to park close to the aerials conspicuous on the right hand side of the road after 300m or so, and then exercise your judgement by deciding which of various candidates on either side of the tarmac is the highest point. There's a chance it might be a patch of grass in the aerial's enclosure (which would be unfortunate, given that there's no obvious way in if the gate is shut), but it seems more likely to be one of the low embankments either side of two ditches running east from the road.
If you climb over the fence in this direction and wander down the field you'll eventually get a nice coastal view, but there's little else of interest hereabouts.

I was intrigued by the name of this summit so I tried to find out a bit more. According to historical PRONI Ordnance Survey maps the site of Donald's Carn is situated at D (J4760 9788). I could only find one mention of Donald's Carn online in an article by Francis Joseph Biggar in the Belfast News Letter in 1923, posted on facebook by the 'Memories of Islandmagee' group-
"The stone of Finn MacCool still lies at Clochfin, no one fit to raise it since the hero’s time. The site of Donald’s carn is shown at Gransha, and a fine one still remains at Ballydown, within a few yards of which many richly ornamental urns were turned out only to crumble to ashes. Just exactly where, or what, is Donald's Carn ?

I fully concur with the comments of Peter Walker in his short summary for this hill, both in the directions given and as to the general whereabouts of the top. The highest point lies somewhere within the small 140m ring contour of fairly level ground broken only by a number of raised ditches. My best guess would be a point at Donald (J48063 97115) along the ditch running E off the road and along the S edge of a flat cultivated field . On inspection I found that the currently listed mv co-ordinates Donald (J481 972) lie within the bounds of this field but, if anything, at a point where the field starts to slope down E and not at the highest point. This said Donald's Carn is a non-descript hill with nothing to commend a visit unless,as in my case, to complete one of the outstanding hills in the new Local 100 list introduced by mv'v in January 2014. By the way a farmer who I met when I there was not aware of Donald's Carn as a name used locally. It may well be that it has some historical significance, now long forgotten. Fine views across the Irish Sea

30/1/2019, Heavy snow and Hazardous driving conditions thwarted an attempt on Trostan, so headed South from
Ballycastle. Weather and road conditions improved as Belfast approached, decided to visit Donalds Carn, not very challenging but the views NE to Galloway and SE to the Isle of Man made it a pleasant experience. Linkback: mountainviews.ie/summit/1357/comment/20350/
