An obvious place to start is at the beginning of a short track C17206 40627 A. This rough but initially cyclable track leads you to rough ground from which is it reasonably easy to reach the top. Note, the top has a recorded ringfort on it. There are a number of animal tracks leading to the top.

Not much space for a car alongside the road, so I parked near a junction with a dead end at C17024075 B, leaving enough room for other vehicles to pass. From there, I headed straight uphill, crossing a track en-route. The only obstacle is a stonewall, but I quickly found a breach and carefully crossed it, too. From there it is a steep but short pull up to the top, following the faint sheeptracks that zigzag through the heather. On top, you will find the ruins of a stone fort and will enjoy some nice views over Lurgacloughan Bay, Mulroy Bay and the Knockalla ridge to the E and SE, Ballyhiernan Bay to the N, the N end of Rosguill and Cnoc na Slea to the W, and the Derryveaghs and Loughsalt Mountain to the S and SW.
