Summary for Dromona Hill : Forest track to the summit
Summary created by simon3, jackill 10 Jan, 2015
Park at Dromona (X10804 93545), in front of some council (waterworks I think) buildings. Room for 3-4 cars.
Enter the forestry access going west to A (X10262 93650) , turn right up hill and then right again on a good forest road . Unusually this is lined for most of the way by beech trees. The highest point is on the road at approximately B (X11047 93986). It is possible to make a bee line through the trees from here to get back to the start point. Limited views from the summit due to forestry though it is possible to see Carronadavderg.

Picture: Hill 'summit'
Pleasant forest walk.
by Colin Murphy 11 Aug 2014
The 'summit' of Dromona is as unremarkable as you can get. The high point is on the forestry track, marked by a small pile of stones. Virtually no views, although the forest walk up is pleasant enough. 20 min walk to top. Linkback: mountainviews.ie/summit/1340/comment/17605/
