To the cyclists who participate in various events hosted by the Skibbereen Cycle Club the east side of this hill is known as The Wall returning to the town at the end of an event, this is also the side you do not wish to ascend from. With this in mind you can park on the opposite side in a small lay-by A (W10677 30063) and access via the double farm gates opposite this field belongs to the near by farm yard and permission if the farmer is present would be advisable. By heading directly to the Marion Cross a route used by previous walkers you can enjoy a easy walk across to the summit. Linkback: mountainviews.ie/summit/1338/comment/18656/
