A little gem
by paddyhillsbagger  16 Feb 2014
Accompanied Fergalh on this lovely little hill in completing his 100th Local List. There is a lane at M888 579 starA between the road junction and a Celtic Tiger building. The lane leads up to a large mobile phone mast and a raised trig point from which fine views are expanded over Lough Ree, Roscommon town and various Midland counties. Truly a little gem of a hill. 20 minutes up and down with time to spot distant tops as well. Linkback: https://mountainviews.ie/summit/1332/comment/15858/

South Roscommon with views

Nice views, could make out the ox mountains to the north west and also keeper hill, south south west. Some interesting stone formations, resembling barrows somewhat, throughout the adjacent fields behind the trig, north, north west. Linkback: https://mountainviews.ie/summit/1332/comment/23140/
