Starting from a lane a short distance out the Sneem road, Gortamullin is an ideal short walk if you're based in the Kenmare area. Well placed and visible Kerry Way signposts mean that your GPS will probably stay in your pocket. The actual summit is a short distance off the KW, and the featureless undulating plateau could cause confusion in mist. Otherwise an ideal family outing or 'rest-day' option.
