Great views of the SW coast
by Conor74 30 Jun 2014
Parked car at A (V76057 27759), room for one car on left of road after passing through a farmyard. Walked north west along tarred road a couple of hundred metres, came to road into the lands on the west of the road and took this. Petered out after a couple of hundred metres, then across open bog to summit. A couple of very tricky fences to negotiate, half rotting posts, loads of strands of barbed wire, walked along it and found a point where it had disintegrated enough to enable me cross safely. Also, had passed a "beware of bull" sign on one of the farms on the tarred road, so keep an eye out. Stunning views from the top, across the headlands of the SW and from Dursey on Beara and the Sheeps Head to Roaringwater Bay, Fastnet and Cape Clear.
