Park at S16052 19827 starA a forestry entrance, room to park for 5-6 cars. Head into forest on good track, ignoring a left turn just past Coillte barrier, and continue uphill, at a T junction turn right and after about 200 meters take another right, continue on this track and at approximately S17810 20200 starB ( 1.9km from start point) take a faint track through trees up to the summit. There is a large stone circle at the top which old maps suggest to be the foundations of a wooden tower. Further research has revealed this to be the base of a wooden tower , built in 1814, without mortor, to celebrate the defeat of Bonaparte. It was known as "The Pigs Tower" .Views towards the Knockmealdowns, Slievenamon and the Comeraghs, Follow same route back to start point.
