This is a short and very pleasant walk into a less popular part of the Connemara mountains. Leaving Clifden on the N59 towards Letterfrack, take the right hand turn signposted for Lough Auna. At the end of the tarmac road, its possible to motor on for a further 500 metres or so to reach a gate leading to an old farmhouse. There is parking for one car here. Choose your route to the summit. good views in all directions though restricted a little to the East by the Bens. Up and down in an hour or so.
