Walks: for a cliff-top walk near Achill Head, see Siúlóidí Acla, walk A. Previously Tonacroaghaun in MV.   Croaghaun is the highest mountain in the Achill/Corraun area and the 131st highest in Ireland.

Attempted Croaghaun from Keem Bay - Moyteoge Head and sea cliffs. V boggy traverse from sea cliffs to by lakes to v. steep slopes of Croghaun. Took about 90 mins with viewing breaks to reach this point. Made it up slope to western summit (664) but, heeding other contributors warnings, turned back due to v. poor visibility and strong winds Trackback: https://mountainviews.ie/summit/127/comment/2795/
