Driving along the N17 you notice a water tank along with a small wind turbine located on the hill .Parking at A (G54122 14449) I walked up an old track to a farmyard at B (G54156 14805) which has a tarred access road running through it, allowing vehicle access to the Sligo Council water facility. On reaching the tank keep to the right over by the wind turbine where you will locate a good cattle track going to within meters of the summit C (G54597 14815). Park at entrance to small road (D (G54628 15772)), There is room for two cars here without blocking entrance to farm. Walk up road towards farm and where the road turns left continue straight up boreen until after a few fields there is a gate into field cross field than a fence and than proceed up hill. Fantastic views from top of whole area, There are trees being cut at the other side of hill so there may be a better access that way but could not see.
