Alternative route by Finger Stones
by TommyMc  9 Apr 2019
Like ceadeile, I too found the track beyond the Finger Stones overgrown with whins and briars, so much so that I couldn't find a route from there through the forest to the summit.

An alternative approach can be made by taking the stony path up to the Finger Stones and continuing until you meet a fence boundary onto an agricultural field. Take an immediate left and follow the fence downhill a short distance. Cross another fence to enter the forest and from there proceed uphill to the summit and trig pillar.
