From the R575 Allihies, Eyries road was able to drive up a very narrow Boreen to Eskaun (V56142 47806). There are two
holiday homes here, limited parking here opposite one of the houses. A small fence crossed and up a steep prickly ramp, (some gorse to be negotiated) leads in a few minutes to the top of the hill. Great views here towards Dursey Island and down over Ballydonegan bay. Well worth a visit, save for some nice weather. Linkback:
