Best access is from the forest gate at S464136 starA where there is plenty of room to park. Follow the track uphill towards the wind turbines. At S454139 starB turn left and continue to the comms masts opposite which you'll see a small muddy track to the right. Follow this to the cross which offers wonderful views in all directions. The trig point can be reached by a bit of a slog through the gorse in the direction of the sometimes noisy wind turbines. Linkback: https://mountainviews.ie/summit/1215/comment/15459/

To trig or not to trig
by eamonoc  15 Aug 2024
Climbed Friday 11th July. Followed excellent directions of thomas g. All the way to high point with large cross in attendance. No route finding issues, the trig point is at other end of hill, much lower down above the turbines completely surrounded by in places head high gorse, a bit of a slog through the gorse is a bit of an understatement! I accessed the trig from the wind turbines and it was nightmarish. Linkback: https://mountainviews.ie/summit/1215/comment/17569/
