West Cork Walk!

View from Mount Corrin on the Mizen peninsula looking towards the Sheeps Head Peninsula. Great views of Cape Clear and Roaringwater bay are also available from this hill which forms part of the Sheeps head waymarked trails. Linkback: mountainviews.ie/summit/1165/comment/18764/

Looped Walk.
by sandman 30 Apr 2017
Mount Corrin is part of the Mount Corrin Loop walk which starts and finishes in Durrus but if you wish for a quick up and down start at Corrin (V93342 38796) parking for two cars . As the photo shows the Cairn marking the summit is impressive but it is modern possibly constructed at the time the walk was laid out from the stones of a more ancient cairn. Storm damage
by thomas_g 6 Jul 2018
If you plan on walking to Derrylahard East from Corrin please note that in July 2018 the sheeps Head way is closed due to storm damage 2km after Corrin. I didn’t attempt it so not sure if it’s passible or not. Linkback: mountainviews.ie/summit/1165/comment/19974/

If Carlsberg did cairns ...
by JohnFinn 5 Apr 2022
The cairn on Mount Corrin is one of the most impressive that I've seen in a long time. All cairns should aspire to a similar level of majesty! Part of our 15km hike on the Mizen/Sheep's Head way on Sunday, 3rd April. Linkback: mountainviews.ie/summit/1165/comment/23475/
