Picture: The trig point and Lough Corrib
Quick hill from Oughterard.

Boggy bare hill, no great challenge, 3.5km over Luggakeeraun from where I parked at last entrance to Coilte plantation at S'con Wd (M09188 37968). Has rewarding view over Lough Corrib and beyond to plains of East Galway to NE/E, Maamturks, Maam Valley and Ben Gorm beyond to NW, a glimpse of the mouth of Kilkieran Bay to SW and Clare and Aran to S. Trig point is atop remnants of possible cairn. Linkback: mountainviews.ie/summit/1155/comment/17937/

Picture: Folow the Fence
Fencing a way to the Top
by eamonoc 28 Sep 2022
11/2/2016, Started at S'con Wd (M09188 37968) at forest entrance, weather was very foggy with limited visibility. Walked on forest track for about 200mts, then crossed fence and keeping the forest on my right made my way over very rough wet ground to a tiny Lochan at A (M09879 36874), at the southern tip of the Lough, a newly constructed wire fence can be followed over wet and boggy ground all the way to the summit at B (M11845 36983), a distance of approx 2km. Just to advise on the other side of the fence, SW a very large Windfarm is under construction at present. Total distance from car to car 5.3km Linkback: mountainviews.ie/summit/1155/comment/18432/
