Take the Chapel Hill Road out of Mayobridge, then a left after about 50m on the Mayo Road and follow to the crossroads. Go straight until a sharp left bend in the road with two farm gates on the right. The leftmost of these gates, at J163250 A is the start of a stone track that leads to the crest of the ridge, about 250m. From here, take the track on the right and where it forks (after 50m), go right until another gate is reached. Go through the gate and follow the track around a burnt area of gorse to another gate. The last 50m to the summit can be climbed without going beyond this last gate. There are extensive views of Carlingford Lough and the western Mournes. In the gap between Slievecarnane and Tamnaharry Hill (WNW) you can see an impressive standing stone. Trackback: https://mountainviews.ie/summit/1149/comment/17664/
