Once again following Fergalh, I left Baltinglass on the R747 then almost immediately straight onto the L3280 after approx 800mts took a right turn up a narrow country road to reach point A, I drove up the concrete road to S846 892 B. I was able to park here beside two gates, room for one car here. I hopped over a gate and followed an obvious farm access track to another gate, and into a large grassy field full of sheep, summit is just up to the right here. The remains of an old ring fort are here with the large commemorative stone as mentioned by Fergalh. This area is fenced off with crash barriers. Fine views in all directions.
