Picture: View NE from the top.
Great views, from bog encircled top.
by simon3 23 Oct 2023
It took us 42 minutes to reach the top of this summit, yet it is only about 760m from the road. Wet, boggy terrain and outcrops with a fine crop of dwarf furze.
The top isn't particularly exciting, being covered in heather. The view however is 360 degrees. Included in the photo is just what you can see to the NE and that encompasses (l to r) An Cnoc Riabach (part of the Mullaghanattin Circuit), Stumpa Duloigh in the mist, Knocklomena, Bascadh, Cnoc na gCapall, Boughil. Short hop on windy day....

Park opposite gate on layby plenty of room at A (V74883 70421). Cross gate and follow track 100 metres than head for top evidence of sheep and horses that are kept there. Somewhat wet but not as bad as other tops in the vicinity Great panoramic views in all directions Linkback: mountainviews.ie/summit/1127/comment/20915/
