Summary for Slievenaboley : Nice and easy.
Summary created by Harry Goodman 27 Jan, 2014

Picture: Looking S to the high Mournes from Slievenaboley.
Start from the Windy Gap car park in the Dromara Hills A (J274 431). Go NNW along the road to a gate on the left and an indistinct track. Follow this track up and around the E flank of the hill Where it becomes intermittent simply make for the highest ground ahead, crossing some fences on the way, to gain the flat top of Slievenaboley. Once there it is a matter of personal choice as to exactly where the unmarked top lies. One possibility is the high point where an old wall crosses the flat summit area. There is an excellent view S to the E to W line of the high Mournes. This is an easy walk up and back in 40 minutes. While there it is worth extending the walk by visiting the nearby Legananny Dolmen. To do so turn left from the car park entrance and a short way along take a lane on the right "The Windy Gap Pad". This is a public right of way and leads down to the Legananny Road. Once there turn right and about 1km along take the Dolmen Road to the left. About 100 metres along turn left and walk a short way up to the Dolmen.
