Longitude: -8.539821, Latitude: 54.75094 , Easting: 165290, Northing: 389356 Prominence: 141m,  Isolation: 2.5km
ITM: 565247 889347,   GPS IDs, 6 char: Maum, 10 char: Maum
Bedrock type: Whitish quartzite with pebble beds, (Slieve Tooey Quartzite Formation)

The name "Maum" appears on the 6" map and on the Discovery map. However, according to logainm.ie, the name belongs to a pass situated to the west of this peak on the southern slopes of Slievetooey, and this seems to be a more appropriate place to be so named.   An Mám is the 1103th highest place in Ireland.

Parking available at G 64147 88864 A near McMonigle Stoneworks.
The total hike trip of approx. 3 kms with 160m ascent should take around an hour.
Allow a little extra time to enjoy the views.
Don't stray too near the very steep ground to the North West. Linkback: https://mountainviews.ie/summit/1115/comment/20869/
