An Bhinn Ghorm is a mountain name which occurs 3 times in Co. Mayo. Ir. gorm is usually translated 'blue', but Breandán S. Mac Aodha suggests that 'iron-grey' is closer to the true meaning in such mountain names (MNIMA, 149).
