This peak in the Mournes, situated just to the east of the Hilltown - Rostrevor road is not to be confused with Cratlieve, a western satellite of Slieve Croob, although the names have the same origin. The name is locally pronounced without the final consonant, as witnessed by the anglicised form Crotley on James Williamson’s map of Co. Down (1810).
Crotlieve Mountain is the 1060th highest place in Ireland. Linkback: https://mountainviews.ie/summit/1096/
