Having only ever walked the Maumturks as part of the Maumturks Challenge I was looking to do Bin Idir an Da Log at a more leisurely pace. I took the most common looped route going up Maumean pass and ascending BinnChaonaigh from the church. Follow the ridge over to Bin Idir an da Log and drop down to the lake an Maumoige before following the stream out the valley to the road. 3kms along the Western way will have you back to the car park. A word of warning, the Maumturks are one of the most dangerous ranges in Ireland. They have steep cliffs on all side with very few escape points and even these need to be taken with extreme care as they are very steep. Save this for a fine day and the views will blow your mind.
