Long route in but worth the effort

Just North and down from the Healy Pass there is space for two cars at a waterfall 790545 starA. Head up to the col between the wonderfully named Stookeenalackerha and Knockowen and descend to the east of Knockastumpa. Here there is a steep climb but fortunately not too much vegitation on this eastern side. There is a shorter, steeper and more route from the west but the brambles, bracken and gorse is much in evidence. Wonderful views from the summit marked with a small cairn, Naturally Stookeenalackareha can easily be added in on the way to or back from this hill Linkback: https://mountainviews.ie/summit/1061/comment/23794/
