Bearnán Éile (Devilsbit Mountain) is at the other end of it. The Hill of Croghan is the remains of an old volcano. A bog body, known as 'Old Croaghan Man', was found in the vicinity in 2003.   Croghan Hill is the 1320th highest place in Ireland.

Parking at N48848 32864 B I was not sure of what way to tackle this hill, I was walking around the south side of the hill when I came upon the land owners and asked if I could head up the hill to take a few snaps. They had no problems with this and told me to head in at the gate at N48381 33376 C. I went as direct as possible to the top from the gate. Comfortable now with the land owners permission, I went a more direct route back to my car past an old graveyard at N48340 33086 D. A little bit of fence hopping and ducking to go back this direct route. Linkback: https://mountainviews.ie/summit/1017/comment/20130/
